Our short film H00ked screened to a lively crowd at last night's Mitten Movie Project at the Main Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan last night. Laughs in all the right places and a standing-room-only theater. Charles W. Brandt from First to Last Productions and I have begun the pre-pro process on our next film (a drama this time out) which will shoot at the end of the month. The film will feature H00ked actors Patrick Kilbourn, Gavin Bates (Writer/Editor of H00ked), and Billy Hinbern. And I'm excited to introduce Erin Orlowski, a young actress out of Oakland University that is a welcome addition to our creative team.

Good news. Both H00ked and Strong from Detroit will be screening this weekend at the Flint Film Festival. Not a lot to see on their web site, but here is what I do know:
$10 for the whole day. H00ked: Saturday, October 13 Theatre 2 2:00 PM - 4:00PM Strong from Detroit: October 13. Theatre 2 4:30 PM - 6:45 PM Plenty of other films to see within these two blocks alone. 1 Riverfront Center West Flint, MI 48502. Meeting with my co-producers last night to see what other festivals are worthy of screening our short Mocumentary, H00ked. Any suggestions? Definitely feel it is of the Dark Comedy sub genre. Proud to say that both the comedy short Ménage Détroit and the documentary Strong from Detroit are official selections at The Uptown Film Festival (formerly Detroit Independent Film Festival). My doc film Strong from Detroit picked up another win last night at F3 (Ferndale Film Festival). Angie and I celebrated over a couple of Bell's Two Hearted at Dino's on Woodward. Great weekend with a bunch of talented filmmakers in Port Huron, Michigan. Strong from Detroit was an official selection and I scored the Best Director Award for the fest. Best Direction Film Selection Committee Award See the complete breakdown here Had a blast working on a joint First to Last/Lot 464 short- Period Piece- for the 48 hour film festival in Detroit this year. The film (on which I was the writer) will screen tonight (7/28) at the Royal Oak Main.
